How a typical dive day with us looks like
All on board!
The boat is scheduled to leave at 08:30.
After breakfast, just before eight thirty, you walk down to the dive center and jetty. All your equipment will already be on the boat as well as a towel for the day. Everything has name tags on it and you also get a mesh bag from us with your name. Just check that all is there.
Together with the boat crew, guides and other guests, it is decided where we go and the boat leaves.
Enjoy the ride
Depending on where we dive, it can take half an hour or more than an hour before we are on the dive site.
Our boat is quite roomy and comfortable with a toilet on-board. You can also sit outside on the front to enjoy the view or go to the sunroof to work on your tan. We often encounter Dolphins and Pilot whales during this time and sometimes even bigger species as Sperm whales.
The morning dive / first dive
Having arrived on the dive site and after a briefing, the divers gear up for the first dive. Once they are under water, the eventual snorkelers can enter the water for a snorkel trip.
When the dive is finished and everybody is back on the boat, lunch is served.
Lunch time / surface interval
We have a small menu you can choose from, which is prepared in the morning in our kitchen.
The surface interval is at least 1 hour but mostly it is about 1.5 hr. During the surface interval, you can eat your lunch, go snorkeling or take a nap.
The afternoon dive / second dive
When everybody is ready the boat sets for the second dive site. Another briefing will be given and it’s time to jump again!
After the second dive, between 14:00 and 15:00, the boat heads back to the resort.
Late afternoon dive / third dive
In between the two marine protected area’s we also have a good range of good dive sites with great muck diving. We often do our third dive there.
We also have a number of good dive sites closer to the resort if others prefer to go off the boat and return to the resort. The third dive is often to see the Mandarin fish, which we have in the house reef, and starts around 17:00.
Beside that, is it possible to make a night dive, either in the house reef or with the boat in one of the dives sites in the vicinity.
